Norma Edwards Brady
Apr 19, 2018Norma Edwards Brady was born as the New Year Bells rang on December 31, 1926 to Philo Taylor and Addie May Gurr Edwards. She was the 6th of 14 brothers and sisters. She grew up in Orem, Utah and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1945.She met the love of her life, Archie Loren Brady just as he came home from WW II in 1945. They were married in December in the Salt Lake Temple and have been together for nearly 72 years.They had 8 children, Archie Larry (deceased), Norma Jean Anderson (Richard), Karen Zitzmann (Kurt), LeAnn Preece (Dan), Loren Pat Brady (Susan), Taylor Edwards Brady (Janell), Boyd Lester Brady (Sandy) and Lori Ann Pallas (Chris). They have 37 grandchildren and 89 great-grandchildren, their posterity is 175.Mom’s life was not always easy but she was always pleasant and cheerful. She was always so grateful for, and loved ALL her family very much. She was a favorite aunt, grandmother, sister and friend. Norma worked in the Women’s Issue Room at BYU for over 20 years, retiring in 1991.She was always an active and faithful member of the LDS Church. Her favorite calling was being a Visiting Teacher, she was so accepting and loving of people.She is survived by her husband Archie, 7 children, brothers and sisters Ruby Cameron, Alene Felix, Lewis Edwards, Wayne Edwards, Colleen Healey and Shirley Maag. She was preceded in death by their young son Larry, her mother and father, brothers and sisters Don Edwards, Max Edwards, LaMar Edwards, LaVell Edwards, Ray Edwards, Janice Warnick and Melba Carter.We as a family are so grateful that the last 3 years they have been with their daughter, LeAnn and Dan.Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 4th, at 11:00 am, at the Pleasant Grove 12th Ward, 828 South Locust Avenue, Pleasant Grove Utah, where Viewings will be held Friday, November 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and prior to services on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 am.Interment in Orem City Cemetery.Funeral Directors: Utah Valley Mortuary.
